New Ideas, New Goals, New Dreams: It’s November!

5 years ago, today, I made this post.
So many things have changed in my life.

So much progress, roadblocks, ups and downs.
But, my sentiments are still the same. Then, and now.
Happy November, y’all! ❤

Sapphires & Sisters

I hope the month of October treated you well, and that you enjoyed Halloween!
But an ending always leads to a new beginning.  And with today being the first day of November, there is a feeling of newness and regeneration in the air.  The holiday season is approaching and the end of the year is right around the corner.  And I’m sure many of you are thinking about what things you want to accomplish before the end of the year, and what new things you want to see come to fruition in the year of 2013.

This time of the year is always my hibernation time, a very reflective period.  And no matter how hard we work, get busy or get side tracked by our realities responsibilities, it is very important to give yourself alone time to just chill and think things over.

  • What changes in my life am I…

Epic Quotes #5: Special Edition

Cultivate your curves – they may be dangerous but they won’t be avoided.

I’m no model lady.  A model’s just an imitation of the real thing.

Personality is the glitter that sends your little gleam across the footlights and the orchestra pit into that big black space where the audience is.

I never loved another person the way I loved myself.

The score never interested me, only the game.

Sapphires & Sisters Turns 1 Today: Thank You!

It’s officially been a year since I created this wonderful site to relay my ideas to those that were interested in hearing, seeing and feeling them.

I knew it was time for me to let go of my former blog, and begin something new.  I was a little scared, nervous, not prepared and didn’t know what the hell I would write about or share.  But I did know one thing….  That whatever I shared would come from the heart… My soul and even my imagination.  Whatever touched me, I knew would touch someone else.

So to all of you that have supported me on this journey, I would like to say, THANK YOU!  And the road is still very long…
This is only the BEGIN-ning!

The True Meaning of Family

With a holiday such as Thanksgiving approaching, most people find it routine to go over their family’s house.  Whether it be your mother, uncle, grandma or whoever…. Whether you want to or not, it’s like an unwritten mandate.

Now, before you gobble down that turkey drenched in gravy and chow down on your auntie’s infamous sweet potato pie….. Do you ever think about the real and true meaning of family???  Many of times we force ourselves into situations and being connected with “family” that have never really shown us love or even proven that they care for us.

And in the video below, I share my opinion on what I believe is the real meaning of family.  And how family does not have to always be your blood.  Just a little food for thought, right in time for Thanksgiving.

¡My Birthday is in 7 Days: Fiesta!

I am turning 23 in 7 days….
DAMN!

Just thinking about all of the things that I have been through, learned, accomplished and overcome since last year is mind-blowing.  I am just truly blessed and looking forward to what this new year and age has in store for me.  I see big things popping, so I am already excited.
I am currently in the process of trying to get a cake.  I had a DOPE cake last year that was shaped like a slice of cake, but this year I want a Hello Kitty cake.  But the bakeries here are on my nerves, giving me the run around, but I’m not going to give up…  ‘Cause I want my Hello Kitty cake! 🙂

And other than that, I really have nothing planned as of now.  I haven’t even bought my wig, which is an annual tradition, since I’m a Halloween baby.  I haven’t planned anything with my friends, but this is what I do…. I plan things late, but they always turn out epic.

So I shall be doing a post-birthday post, and possibly a video, to share with you my experiences.  I always have very strange epiphany moments throughout my birthday week, so it should be interesting to see what happens.  I also had a dream about my birthday a couple weeks back, so I already know that this birthday is going to be one of a kind.

Until then, enjoy the rest of your week and enjoy October!
Halloween is near!  WOOO-OOOHHHHH-HAAA-HA-HA! (lol)
